As of January 1, 2010, the Transfer Site is no
longer open on Thursdays.
CLOSED:
Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday & ALL LEGAL
HOLIDAYS
Important Message to Transfer Site Users:
Jefferson County is changing the way that they handle
recyclables, which means that there will be some minor changes
at the Town of Clayton Transfer Site. This will require
you, the user, to do things a little differently and Transfer
Site staff will be here to help in this transition. First
of all, newspapers and junk mail will go in the same bin.
Clean tin cans will go in a bin, no longer with your other metal
items in a large container. Cardboard will now have to be
separated. Corrugated cardboard will go in the same bin
that you use now and other thin, coated cardboard (soda cartons,
cereal boxes, etc.) will go in one of the slots on the bin.
If you have any questions, please ask the facility staff who
will be happy to help during this transition.
