Clayton Volunteer Fire Department-

| The Clayton Volunteer Department Inc., provides fire and rescue services in the Town of Clayton north of County Route 5 (Depauville Fire Department covers Town of Clayton south of County Route 5) as well as mutual aid to surrounding communities as requested. Approximately 90 firefighters are assigned to 2 Engine companies, 1 Ladder company and one Maritime company. Our operations officers are the Chief, 1st and 2nd Assistant. Administrative officers are the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. Regular meetings are held the first Monday of every month, 7:00pm, at Station One. Elections are held at the annual meeting in April. |

The Depauville Volunteer Fire Department provides fire,
Emergency Medical
Services,
and other emergency services an area of 37 square miles surrounding the hamlet
of Depauville in the town of Clayton, Jefferson County, New York. Our station is
just six miles from Lake Ontario and seven miles from the St Lawrence River. We
serve about 1000 residents. Our funding comes from the
Town of Clayton Fire
District and a variety of
fund raising events.

Thousand Islands Emergency Rescue Service (TIERS)-

| TIERS is the 911 ambulance service provider for the towns of Orleans and Clayton in Jefferson County, New York. Our response district is 154 square miles of mostly rural terrain and encompasses a large portion of the St. Lawrence River along the US/Canadian border. We staff paid paramedics 24/7/365 and supplement our capabilities with volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians and drivers. As a not-for-profit service, we strive to commit our organization to community service and excellence by initiating multiple programs in public health and safety awareness. |

THE THOUSAND ISLANDS MUSEUM, INC., IS A NOT FOR PROFIT EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION WHOSE PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO COLLECT, PRESERVE, RECORD AND EXHIBIT GEOGRAPHICAL ARTIFACTS FROM THE CLAYTON AND ST. LAWRENCE RIVER AREA TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO COMMERCE, AGRICULTURE, HUNTING AND FISHING. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in downtown located at 312 James Street, Clayton. Established in 1964, the T.I. Museum houses special exhibits of world-class muskies and hunting decoys from the past and present. The Museum Gallery offers history of life along the St. Lawrence and the archival resource room is open for research of river heritage. This organization sponsors the annual Decoy & Wildlife Art Show held at the Clayton Recreation Park Arena. This show is nationally renowned and holds a number of competitions during the show. The organization also sponsors many other events like the Christmas Festival, Hogs & Hot Rods Poker Run, Chicken BBQ and more. The annual summer History At Noon Program is held in the local community room of the senior housing and the Hashing Over History Program is held in the research library of the museum during the winter months. | The Antique Boat Museum is a non-profit educational facility located on Mary Street. The museum displays hundreds of antique boats and river artifacts and offers classes for both children and adults. It also provides tours, boat rides and cruises. The museum was established in the early 1970's and currently has approximately 2200 members internationally. The Museum sponsors an annual Antique Boat Show which attracts over 10,000 people per year. A popular event during the Show is the boat auction. The museum also sponsors a Race Boat Regatta every two years. The most recent addition to the museum is the skiff livery, a display of non-motorized antique boats. |
The Handweaving Museum & Arts Center-
| The Handweaving Museum & Arts Center are located on John Street and was established in 1964. The primary goal of the organization is to promote arts and crafts through education, research, exhibits and programs. The Craft School programs are available to everyone and include specialized programs such as after school art programs, Elder hostel programs and conferences for weavers. The organization also hosts family events and sponsors the annual Antique Show and Craft Show. The School/Museum has 300 members and employs a full time administrator, curator, housekeeper, and Green Thumb worker. |
