About the Foundation

The Thousand Islands Foundation exists to generate and distribute resources to create, enrich, and expand scholarship opportunities to maximize success for Thousand Islands area students and graduates.

The Thousand Islands Foundation was established in 2002 as a not for profit, tax exempt 501 (c)(3) Corporation to provide college and trade school scholarships for qualified individuals.

Funds provided by the Foundation's endowment assist local families in easing the financial burden of higher education.

The Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Directors representing the communities of the Thousand Islands.  The Thousand Islands Foundation has awarded over $50,000 in scholarships since 2002.
